So That Others May Worship

The purpose of Wynne Baptist Church is to be radically intentional about making disciples of all nations to the glory of Jesus Christ. The purpose of the music ministry is to help fulfill the mission of Wynne Baptist Church.

The music ministry will seek to fulfill this goal as we love the Lord lavishly and by our love expose others to His goodness. This goal finds its foundational basis in the Great Commission and Great Commandment which state that we should love the Lord God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength, and that we should go and make disciples of this same great God. The goal finds its specific basis in John 12 where Mary comes to Jesus after Lazarus, her brother, has been raised from the dead. She takes a bottle of expensive perfume, anoints the feet of Jesus and wipes His feet with her hair. The fragrance of the perfume fills the house. Mary’s act of worship results in others experiencing her love for the Savior. It is our privilege to love the Lord lavishly by filling the places where He sends us with the fragrance of our worship. And everywhere we go it is our responsibility to compel others to come to Jesus so that His house may be filled with worshippers. Where there is no fragrance, there is no worship. Where there is no worship, there is no Gospel. We will seek to fill the house with the fragrance of worship so that others may worship Him too.
